At the Women Business Council in Georgia, we explore how cultural and digital spaces can become meaningful places for connection, participation, and visibility. Through our initiative, Digital Exhibition Week of Women in Art, we have been developing a hybrid cultural platform that functions as a contemporary “Third Place” for women artists from different countries and artistic backgrounds.

Since 2021, the project has connected hundreds of professional, emerging, and student women artists through digital exhibitions, online networking, workshops, and public engagement activities. Beyond showcasing artworks, the platform creates opportunities for dialogue, collaboration, and professional empowerment, helping artists feel part of a wider international creative community.

Our experience has also highlighted important tensions around accessibility and participation. While digital environments can expand visibility and inclusion, they can also reflect inequalities related to technology, representation, and access to professional networks. These challenges continue to shape how we design our activities and partnerships.

In 2026, the project is evolving further through the First International Immersive Digital Group Exhibition, combining physical and online experiences to create more interactive and emotionally engaging ways for audiences and artists to connect. The immersive group exhibition will feature professional women artists who have participated in the project throughout the past four years and will be curated by Art Curator Ketevan Kordzakhia.
