Monica Urian

PROGRAMME MANAGER, EUROPEAN COMMISSION DIRECTORATE GENERAL EDUCATION AND CULTURE

Monica Urian is the Programme Manager at the European Commission – Directorate General Education and Culture – responsible for the ‘audience development’ priority within the Creative Europe Programme – Culture. In addition, Monica is in charge of the EU Prize for contemporary architecture/ Mies van der Rohe award, the EU Prize for cultural heritage/ Europa Nostra award and the European Heritage Days, a joint action with the Council of Europe.
Monica was one of the organisers of the 2012 EU Conference “European Audiences: beyond 2020”. Before joining the European Commission, Monica worked at ‘ARTketing’ – a research center in marketing for arts, culture and media from Solvay Business School, Université Libre de Bruxelles.
