Weidong Jin, the founder of Shanghai M50 Art District, has been former director of Shanghai Chunming woolen mill and chairman of Shanghai M50 Cultural and Creative Industry Development Co., Ltd. He is the Incumbent East China Region Director of ShangTex Fashion Industry Company, and the General Manager of Shaoxing Water Street Cultural and Creative Co., Ltd.
Since 2002, Mr. Jin, together with his team, takes the opportunity of the construction and development of urban culture, proactively coping with the challenges posed by urban development and industrial transformation, actively introducing contemporary art and design, and launching the projects like “Creative M50 Annual Selection”, which successfully transformed the abandoned old factories into one of the artistic landmark in Shanghai and won the China’s most valuable brand park award.
