The Network
b.creative is an international network of practitioners in the cultural and creative sectors, working at the intersection of entrepreneurship, artistic practice, and social change. The network was founded in 2019 as an international non-profit association (AISBL) and has since grown into a decentralised, community-led ecosystem that spans continents, disciplines, and levels of experience.
Rather than centring a single artform or methodology, b.creative brings together a diverse range of members: from audiovisual artists, designers, and architects to organisers, collectives, creative hubs, and cultural entrepreneurs. What connects them is not what they do, but how they work, with a shared investment in creativity as a force for transformation.
Purpose and Direction
The network was created to foster connections across borders, support meaningful collaboration, and strengthen the ecosystem around creative work. It serves both as a space of encounter and as a practical infrastructure for development, visibility, and influence.
b.creative’s mission is threefold:
- To enable cooperation and co-creation between members
- To amplify the contribution of culture and creativity to systemic change
- To support the long-term sustainability of values-driven cultural practice.
Network Principles
At its core, b.creative is structured around principles of decentralisation, co-ownership, and mutuality. Its architecture is intentionally adaptive, enabling members to engage in different ways, depending on context, interest, or capacity.
- Members are encouraged to initiate collaborations, share knowledge, and shape the network’s agenda
- Working groups will provide space for collective development and experimentation
- Local and regional chapters allow for contextual grounding and international exchange
Types of Members
Membership is open to individuals and organisations working in or across the cultural and creative sectors.
This includes:
- Artists, designers, and creators
- Entrepreneurs and producers
- Cultural associations and collectives
- Hubs, labs, and community spaces
- Educators, researchers, and policy actors
Members may be emerging or established, urban or rural, local or international in scale. What matters most is a willingness to engage with others in a spirit of openness, solidarity, and experimentation.
What Makes b.creative Distinct?
Unlike conventional networks, b.creative does not exist to promote a singular model of success or entrepreneurship. Instead, it creates room for different approaches to coexist, from cooperative ventures and informal collectives to hybrid projects and micro-enterprises.
We recognise the political, economic, and social dimensions of cultural work. We understand that creativity does not happen in a vacuum, and neither does change.
This is why b.creative exists:
- To connect people who are working at the edges of systems,
- To support those navigating uncertainty with courage,
- To collectively imagine new infrastructures for cultural life.
