Fan Di’an

PRESIDENT, CHINA CENTRAL ACADEMY OF FINE ARTS

Professor Fan Di’an, former Director of National Art Museum of China, serves as the current President of China Central Academy of Fine Arts, Vice President of China Artists Association, Vice President of China Literature and Art Critics Association, Deputy Director of the Art Education Committee under the Ministry of Education, researcher of Central Research Institute of Culture and History, and member of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference.
Professor Fan has long been engaged in the study of Chinese art in the 20th century, contemporary art criticism and exhibition curation, and research of art museology. He has published art research papers and art reviews totaling millions of words, curated hundreds of academic exhibitions to demonstrate the themes of the times and the results achieved in Chinese art development, organized various international art exchanges activities, and established partnership with internationally renowned art museums and colleges. He has advanced the exchanges of art achievements between China and various countries and improved the international influence of Chinese art.
